Grant Barnum
Grant BarnumGrant Barnum has been exploring his eclectic interests in music since his early teens. Through his years at Camdenton High School and Missouri State University, he played various instruments, primarily in the woodwinds section. Grant has also played guitar for many years. Bringing that talent to the stage, he plays guitar and sings in The Glass Cavalry, a St. Louis indie-alternative rock band. Many years of music theory and experience in the genres of jazz, classical, folk, and rock make Grant a good friend to have if you ever need advice or a good story! An avid writer, Grant will soon graduate with an English degree. He’s a big football fan, and throws a mean yo-yo!

Alyssa Blackford
Alyssa BlackfordAlyssa has been involved in music for over 15 years playing instruments such as piano, clarinet, saxophone, and french horn. During her education at Belleville East High School and Truman State University, she became a member in various wind ensembles, orchestras and small ensembles. After teaching private lessons and volunteering in several band camps, she realized her passion was education and went on to receive her Masters in Music Education from Truman State University. Aside from music, she enjoys running, reading, and being a St. Louis Blues fan.

Donna Haeberle
Donna Haeberle Bio PicDonna Haeberle is the account manager for Mozingo Music and has worked for the company since 2005. Donna possesses a wealth of knowledge with over 30 years of retail experience. She understands how important her role is to the success of our local bands and churches, playing a key role in assisting our school service representatives, band directors, worship leaders and customers with all aspects of billing and customer service support.

She is instrumental in the processing of rental contracts, payments and returns. She also handles all the monthly invoicing and payments, in addition to administering the Band and Orchestra Maintenance Agreements.

Katie Lindhorst
Katie LindhorstKatie Lindhorst has spent her everyday surrounded by music, since day one! Growing up in a home full of music educators Katie was able to try a variety of musical instruments before finding her passion in keyboards and percussion. After her years as section leader playing marimba, bass drum, and synthesizer at Hazelwood West High School Katie went on to focus on live performance. Private lessons, and a life full of music education gave way to prolific ‘gigging’ with 2012′s Riverfront Times ‘Best Pop Band’ Middle Class Fashion. While working toward a degree in Music Business Katie spends her free time nerding out to Doctor Who and synthesizer waves.

Jeremy Miller
Jeremy MillerJeremy services the Rockwood District, Parkway District and surrounding West County area.

Jeremy has worked for Mozingo Music intermittently since he was in junior high. He has been handling school accounts, in St. Louis County, since 2006. After studying Music Education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, he toured the Middle East and Mediterranean, entertaining our military troops, and then toured the states, as a drum/guitar tech, for various local acts. He currently plays drums with the Super Majik Robots, one of the most interesting cover bands that you will ever see. He is addicted to golf and hockey and is trying to pass those addictions to his twins, Amanda and Landon.

Steven L. Moore
SMooreSteven surrounded himself with music most of his life. He began playing trumpet in the sixth-grade band all thru college and earning a Bachelor of Music Performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. To gain more experience in the music business world, Steven moved to California working for the Yamaha Corporation of America in the Strings Department and in the Band and Orchestra Accessories Department. His roles with Yamaha led him back to the St. Louis area to work for two companies; U.S. Band & Orchestra Supplies (AKA St. Louis Music) and our very own Mozingo Music.

Since 2006 Steven has been a dedicated employee of Mozingo Music. Working through several rolls, he started as the Band & Orchestra Department Manager, moving to the Store Manager position at the Ellisville location, and now to his current role as the Internet Sales & Website Manager.

Outside of Mozingo Music, Steven works with multiple government entities and volunteers with his local church; The Crossing. Beyond saving the world and serving coffee at church, you may find Steven working in his family vineyard.

Kyle Nienhaus
Kyle NienhausKyle Nienhaus has been playing music for over 15 years. He attended Ft. Zumwalt West High in O’Fallon where he performed in Men’s Choir and Jazz Band on guitar. During this time he took lessons at, and eventually went to work for, The St. Charles Guitar Exchange. Kyle was accepted in 2002 to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. There he majored in Professional Music, a degree of wide scope for the modern musician, focusing in guitar performance, music production and engineering, and music business and law, studying under the best teachers in the business. After graduating with a B.A. in 2006, Kyle returned to St. Louis to cut his teeth with veterans of the local blues scene and teach private lessons. He has performed with several blues, jazz, and rock groups in the past few years. Kyle is an avid reader of philosophy and science, loves comedy, and spreading the joy of music.

Maggie Noud
Maggie NoudMaggie services Union District, Washington District, Pacific District and surrounding Franklin County area.

Maggie teaches Applied Flute at East Central College. She holds a Master of Arts in Education from Lindenwood University. She received her undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri State University where she studied with Paul Thompson. While at Southeast, she was the principal flutist for the University Wind Ensemble being featured twice as a concerto soloist. In addition to the Wind Ensemble, she was principal flutist for the University Orchestra. Currently, she is in high demand as a both a soloist and clinician. She has taught flute and piano privately for over 15 years. Before taking her position at Mozingo Music, she was a band director for 8 years.

Eric Parrent
Eric ParrentOver 18 years experience in the St. Louis Retail Music market and four years of experience in the Musical Instrument Distribution market, Eric brings a wealth of knowledge to the Mozingo Music Team. Currently the Store Manager of the O’Fallon location, he has filled many positions in his time with Mozingo Music since 2006. Specializing in guitar, mandolin, bass and other acoustic instruments, he also has a passion for sound reinforcement products that comes in handy. Eric grew up playing Bluegrass, Country, & Southern Gospel music with his family and still leans to those roots today.

Corbin Petersen
Corbin Petersen Bio PicCorbin Petersen has been playing music since the age of 4 when he began on the piano, though drumming proved to be his true passion by 11 when he started in school band. Now having played drums for over 24 years, he currently plays and records with worship artist Stephen Miller, leading worship both at their local St. Louis church The Journey, as well as at churches, camps and conferences across the country.

Corbin has decades of experience in church music and production, and loves to connect worship leaders and church techs with the instruments and gear they need to accomplish the goals of their local church body.

Dan Poertner
Dan PoertnerDan has been a guitarist for 23 years and has been with Mozingo Music since 2001. He has filled nearly every position Mozingo Music has to offer though he finds the most pride and enjoyment in guitar sales and repair. Dan admits there is nothing quite as satisfying as helping someone find their first guitar, teaching them that first chord and setting them up for a lifetime of musical enjoyment. Dan has a Bachelors degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is currently pursuing his Masters degree with Lindenwood University in St Charles.

John Schwerdt
John Schwerdt Drums Bio PictureJohn brings 12 years of drumming experience to Mozingo. Having bought his first drum at age 10, he quickly fell in love. Shortly after he began playing he joined the percussion section of school band. He played drum set for the Friedens UCC praise band in Warrenton, Missouri for 6 years throughout middle and high school. During high school he also discovered his love of marching percussion and began his career in Drum Corp International (DCI) with the Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in Columbus, Ohio. He continued his career in 2010 With Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and 2011 with the Madison Scouts of Madison Wisconsin. In 2012 He took the year off of drum corps to play snare drum for the Kansas City Royals Royal Thunder drumline where he was provided the opportunity to play at the MLB All Star Game and Home Run Derby as well as regular season Royals games. In the summer of 2012 he also participated in a cultural exchange with the Stankovic Percussion Ensemble in Belgrade, Serbia where he was involved in various clinics, including one he held on rudimental snare drumming. In the summer of 2013 he finished his drum corps career with Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps out of Fort Mill, South Carolina where he was a part of their first DCI World Championship season. John attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri where he studied music industry.

John currently teaches at WGI (Winter Guard International) Independent Open Class group Freedom Indoor Percussion, based out of St. Louis Missouri. In his free time he enjoys drumming, writing music and playing golf.

Doug Spratley
Doug Spratley Bio PictureDoug services Columbia, Jefferson City, and the I-55 Corridor.

Doug has worked in the music industry for over 20 years, including managing multiple stores in Missouri and Michigan. He has also served as the District Sales Manager in the Midwest for Companies as diverse as Conn-Selmer, Leblanc, EMG, ESP, Super Sensitive, Hofner, and Walden. Doug has worked extensively in the sound arena as a live audio engineer and in the recording studio. He has designed and installed audio, video, and recording systems for numerous schools, churches, stadiums, and speedways over the years. Doug will be available to work with any Mozingo Music account in the area of Sound Reinforcement, Acoustics, Video Systems, and Electronic Classroom Recording Technology.

Doug’s passion for music began early when he started playing the trumpet in the fourth grade. He continued to play brass instruments throughout high school and into college, when he took up the bass guitar to play at Church. He has played in worship bands ever sense, as well as serving as the bass guitarist for Christian artist Randy Melick for several years.

Brian Vaccaro
Brian VaccaroBrian graduated from Webster University in St. Louis in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in Jazz Studies. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where he earned a Master’s Degree in Music in Jazz Guitar Performance in 2000. Since completing his studies, Brian has been active as an educator as well as a performer. He has taught a variety of jazz and general music courses including Jazz History, Jazz Ensemble, Rock History, and numerous others, at Southwestern Illinois College, St. Louis Community College, and St. Charles Community College. He has also performed and recorded with many of the top musicians in the St. Louis area. In 2010, Brian received the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty award from St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Brian has managed extra-curricular music education programs offering individual and group lessons, rock band programs, and a regular schedule of visiting artist workshops including artists such as Tommy Emmanuel, Larry Coryell, Tuck Andress, Johnny Hiland, Greg Koch, and Ernie Isley since 2001.

“Going Through the Motions”, the debut album by the Brian Vaccaro Trio, was honored to be included in the “Notable Releases of 2011″ list by noted critic and author W. Royal Stokes.

Joe Weber
Joe WeberJoe services the Ft. Zumwalt District, Francis Howell District, Wentzville District and surround St. Charles/O’Fallon area.

Joe Weber graduated with a BME degree from Southeast Missouri State University and went on to tour with The Glenn Miller Orchestra for four years. While on the band, he recorded two CD’s, “Moonlight Serenade” and “Here We Go Again.” He has traveled worldwide and performed with celebrities such as, Red Skelton and Jerry Vale, and has also made a few TV appearances. After his tour with Glenn Miller, Joe has since performed with Bill Watrous, Carl Fontana, Warren Vache, Rene Marie, Scott Hamilton, Ann Hampton Calloway, Corey Christiansen, Harry Waters, Steve Lippia, Jim Widner, and Jim Manley. Joe’s drumming can also be heard on numerous Mel Bay Guitar Method books. Joe has been a member of the Mozingo Music family for nearly 20 years, which he has filled in a variety of positions. Now located in the O’Fallon store, Joe is the school road rep out in the St. Charles County area, servicing the Fort Zumwalt, Francis Howell, St. Charles City, and Wentzville School Districts. Joe is available for scheduling clinics for jazz band drummers in the schools.

Don Williams
Don Williams Bio PicDon Williams is our school and church services coordinator, responsible for providing the Mozingo difference to all our band directors and worship leaders. He works with all the service representatives in providing all levels of support and service to our school and church partners.

Don adds 30+ years of retail experience to the Mozingo Family. He’s held positions in all capacities, from sales and delivery to training and customer service.

He’s been playing music since learning drums in high school band. He also plays guitar and electric bass. Don enjoys playing bass locally at Morning Star Church and with his rock cover band Pull the Trigger.
