Andrew Vogel is a native of St. Louis. He received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz/Music Tech from Webster University, and his Master of Arts in Jazz History and Research from Rutgers University. As a saxophonist, Andrew’s principal teachers were Christopher Braig, Paul DeMarinis, and Mike Karpowicz. As a jazz historian, Andrew studied under Dr. Henry Martin and Dr. Lewis Porter.
Andrew has had the opportunity to teach music classes at Rutgers University and Webster University.
As the saxophonist and frontman of ska/rock band Samuriot, Andrew has shared the stage with the likes of Reel Big Fish, Girl Talk, The Aquabats, The Toasters, Big D and the Kids Table, and Mustard Plug.
