Inspired by watching her older brother play his violin, Anna, at age 3, asked if she could also take lessons. Trained by the Classical Suzuki method by Joseph Kaminsky at the Kirkwood Academy of Music, it was there that Anna acquired her solid foundation of music theory and developed her skill to play by ear. Through KAM, Anna gained valuable musical experience with her education and performances, and her love of music continued to grow.
While a student at KAM, Anna had numerous memorable memories. At the age of 5, Mr Kaminsky selected Anna to produce a DVD entitled “Vibrato From the Ground Up”. Students and instructors all over the US and the world have purchased her training DVD video.
In addition to this, KAM performed in numerous venues throughout St Louis, including yearly Frontenac Plaza Christmas concerts and Busch Stadium performances of the National Anthem. In Washington, D.C., Anna was honored to be chosen to play a solo at the Capitol building for the House of Representatives. Every summer, as a child, she and her brother attended week long Suzuki Violin Institutes in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to further challenge their musical abilities. It was here that Anna gained more challenging opportunities to play in Honor recitals before hundreds of her peers and teachers from around the U.S.
In her 4 years at Lindbergh High School, Anna cherished playing in her school’s Symphonic Orchestra. To further her growth as a musician, she participated in music festivals every year. Additionally, realizing her love for sharing music with others, Anna also tutored novice 4th grade students the entirety of her high school attendance.
Anna is currently attending Lindenwood University, where she is majoring in Computer Information Systems and minoring in a Music degree. She loves playing in her school’s orchestra and small string ensemble.
For fun, Anna loves to jam on her violin and bass guitar with her Soft Rock and Roll and Oldies band. For rest and relaxation, Anna loves the challenge of a great puzzle, enjoys hiking, hanging out with her family, friends, and her 3 dogs.
