With a multifaceted knowledge in music and over twenty years of experience,
Atena is proud to be a part of Mozingo Music. She strives to help each student
achieve their goals through individualized guidance and training, in theory,
technique, musicianship, and performance.

As a performer, Atena has played and sung in a wide variety of genres such as
jazz, classical, brass ensemble, choirs, wind ensembles, brass quintets,
musical pits as well as solo performances in trumpet and vocal. Some of the
most memorable groups she has performed with include principal chair of the
Saint Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, Saint Louis Philharmonic, Cincinnati
Conservatory Wind Ensemble, SIUE Jazz band, Lindenwood Brass Quintet,
and the musical West Side Story.

She graduated from Lindenwood University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Trumpet Performance and received training in education, theory, as well as
trumpet and vocal technique. When teaching lessons, Atena combines her
positive enthusiastic approach to teaching as well as her knowledge in trumpet,
piano, voice, theory, and performance in order to help the student better
understand, grow as a musician, and achieve their short and long term goals.
