Lucas Vetter graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in the spring of 2017 with a Master of Music in tuba performance. He also received a bachelor’s degree in instrumental Music Education from Mizzou. While in college, Lucas had the opportunity to perform in many excellent music ensembles on and off campus: the University of Missouri Symphonic Band, University Wind Ensemble, University Philharmonic Orchestra, MU Tuba and Euphonium Studio, the Graduate Tuba Euphonium Quartet, Marching Mizzou, Mini Mizzou, and the Columbia Civic Orchestra. Lucas has performed internationally with a few of the above-mentioned ensembles. He currently holds the position of Principal Tuba in the Alton Symphony Orchestra and the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, he has performed with The Compton Heights Concert Band of St. Louis for over nine years.
Luke is currently living in the St. Louis area and is a freelance musician, who teaches privately and performs regularly. He has been teaching private music lessons on the tuba, euphonium, and trombone for over 3 years now. While his teaching/playing emphasis is mainly low brass, Luke will happily teach beginner French horn and trumpet students.
