Ross is a trumpet player of over 15 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduating, he was a full-time band director for a year in southeast Missouri, where he was responsible for teaching middle school beginning bands, a high school concert band, the marching band, and a jazz band.

Ross has performed with many different ensembles, including the symphonic band and studio jazz band at Mizzou, where he also studied under Dr. Akhmadullin, as well as touring around the country with the Colts, a World class Drum and Bugle corps for 4 years. He also toured as a brass instructor for the Colt Cadet Drum and bugle corps for another 3, and currently participates in the concert band, marching band, jazz band, and orchestra at Lindenwood University.

Ross currently is a graduate assistant at Lindenwood University under Dr. Ryan Curtis, where he is studying to complete his Masters degree in music education.
